Use
1.Connect the outer adapter to the DC Jack at the back of product, and then insert the plug into correct power socket
2.Press the MENU button to select different working modes: Automatic Mode, Sound Control Mode, DMX 512 Control Mode
Automatic Mode: Mode Display shows A1-A8
A1 Lighting Effect: Red, Green, White, Yellow, Blue
A2 Lighting Effect: Red
A3 Lighting Effect: Green, Yellow
A4 Lighting Effect: Blue, White
A5 Lighting Effect: Red, Blue, White
A6 Lighting Effect: Random combination of different colors. Color combinations change
A7 Lighting Effect: Random combination of different colors. Color combinations change and flash
A8 Lighting Effect: Random combination of different colors. Color combinations change
Sound Control Mode: If the Mode Display shows S1 and S2, it means Sound Control Mode
DMX 512 Control Mode: If the Mode Display shows AXXX (XXX means 3 numbers from 000 to 255), it means DMX 512 Control Mode
S1 Lighting Effect: LED light flashes. Motor would not rotate
S2 Lighting Effect: LED light flashes and color changes. Motor rotation controlled by ambient sound volume and rhythm
AXXX Lighting Effect: Dome Light is controlled by 6 channels of DMX512
DMX512 Instructions:
Connect the DMX512 by insert the DMX512 plug into the DMX512 Input at the back of the dome light. Turn on the product and operate by referring to to reach your required lighting effect, please see the User Manual Detail Instruction
Does it have to be synced to music?? Also, I will be playing my own music. Don't want to play from light.
It does not have to be synced to music. It will perform without music at all. We love it!

It works on its own. It doesn't need to be synced to music. Although it has the function to be synced to music.

What is the difference between circular and crystal?
When I bought mine the crystal one was called prism, but any way. I had the same tough decision. I love the crystal. It makes really cool large ring like shapes and dots on the walls and floor. From the pics it looks like the circle just makes "dots". I went with the larger one.

The one that has a clear top is much much brighter. It lights up a room much brighter, but in a smaller room it's a little bit overwhelming.

I think the circular is the bulb like that you put in a light socket...this makes a circular motion and it makes me dizzy...not like the crystal disco light it does not make a full circular move/motion light...hopes this helps

It does, and it is made better than most of this sort of thing. If I remember correctly, the rotation reverses based on music triggers as well. Lots of fun.

No, the only way it can communicate with another device is with a DMX cable.

I'm not sure if it has blue tooth. I've only used the control panel directly from the machine. It does have a DMX512 control.

I'm not sure as i run mine without a dmx unit. I just run them strait out.
