To avoid false alarms:
1. Mount the sensor away from direct sunlight, such as under an overhang, covered area, or in a non-metal box.
2. It might be helpful (if you haven't tried yet) to move and mount the sensor in a higher position, then angle the sensor down to face the driveway. This may hopefully reduce the interference from objects in the distance and from sunlight.
3. Lastly, if none of these suggestions help, try tapping over a little of the sensor area with black tape as this may reduce sensor sensitivity.
Doesn't work or doesn't work after sync:
Make sure the installation range is OK, the working range is about 100m and also metal objects and some household appliances can effect the working rang. The user should test before install the alarm unit.

Is this a motion detector, or a heat sensor?
InfraRed (heat). When the sunshine hits the other side of my driveway it goes crazy. I generally unplug the receiver for an hour or so.
By Dave D. on August 22, 2015
It says it is a heat sensor on the package. It works, whatever it is.
By Jill Morrow on August 22, 2015
It's a motion detector.
By ClubGuy on August 22, 2015
it is a motion detector
By Alex on August 22, 2015
It is both. It senses motion by the movement of heat. Warm bodied animals and possibly objects that are warm and are moving will set off the detector. This is how motion detectors function.

Can i put this in our back yard and expect it go go through the walls of the house ? about 30 feet away ? through the house and a door ?
A powerful 120-decibel alarm sounds as soon as motion is detected within a 20-foot range and its Operating Distance is 300 feet in the open field. Hope that can help you.
By 1byone Service Team on December 4, 2015
Although this page says 300' range, the paper manual that comes with it clearly states 150' is the maximum range.
By Kevin S. Johnson on January 11, 2016
Yes. The receiving range could reach 300 feet in open area.

What is the distance from the transmitter, that the transmitter will pick up the moving heat of an object?
I know mine will catch my movement through a screen door 20ft away. Also, if there is a day with sun and clouds rolling by, the shadow changes cause "false alarms".
By Canne on June 9, 2015
Very sensitive, a good ten feet . Probably too sensitive. I haven't gotten around to see if I can tune it down

Can this antenna be placed in the attic and ran through a splitter for three hdtv's or does it only work where there is a window?
It doesn't have to work in a window. Place wherever it is as long as the reception is good. But it cannot work with a splitter for three hdtv's.
By 1byone Products Inc. SELLER on August 17, 2015
From what i have read, any antenna needs a coupler not a splitter for more than 1 T.V.

Are all the components weatherproff?
Yes they are

Does the Alarm trip instantly or is there a delay?
Instantly - sometimes slight delay but minimal. Placement of sensor is critical.
By R. J. Perreault on January 4, 2016
There is a delay of 1 ~ 2 seconds.
By bigtulaoer on January 4, 2016
instantly

I have 2 transmitters and one receiver. How to set the two different tones for the two transmitters so that i know which door i should be checking?
I believe you can only use one transmitter at a time. At least, I have not been able to figure out how to use both at the same time You can set which one you want to use as well as the tone on the side of the receiver
By David G on January 11, 2016
This unit does not seem to differentiate who the signal comes from. "One sound pattern to rule them all."
By Amazon Customer on January 11, 2016
You can use both transmitters at the same time if you setup both transmitters and the receiver to the same security code (vaguely mentioned in the instructions). However, no matter which transmitter is triggered the receiver will play the same tone. This setup is for someone with a circular driveway with two entrances … see more
By RCS1611 on January 11, 2016
From the product info it claims you can have two sensors linked to two receivers at the same time. So an option may be purchase two receivers and set different tones on those.

Is this one really better than the others 1byone 35 miles thin antennas? like this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b00rflxdii?ref_=cm_cd_al_qh_dp
It doesnt work in the Seattle area, even less than 25 miles from the broadcast station....
By TC on February 11, 2016
Not sure if that one is better, but I like what I bought. Decent reception, small, you can hide it behind picture. So a lot of benefits. You just have to make sure that 35 miles is enough for you to get a reception. Good luck.
By TIHOMIR KNEZEVIC on February 11, 2016
This one didn't work very well at all... my old rabbit ears still worked better.
By Joseph M. Mudd on February 11, 2016
Where does the push button go? How does it adhere to the outside of the house by the door?
I installed mine on a front wooden door. There is two screw holes on the back of the transmitter, with two screws included in the package. They provide very detailed instructions about how to mount the transmitter. Hope it can help you.
