Wireless Home Security Driveway Alarm-Adapter
- Reliable Range - Communication range of up to 100m/328ft (the distance from the sensors to the receiver/alarm/chime) and detection range of the infrared sensor of approximately 5-8m/16-26ft to keep you informed and safe.
- User-Friendly - The alarm in the receiver has a ring volume up to 100dB, 3 mode choices (Sound/LED Flash/Sound and LED Flash) and 3 alert choices (High Volume Chime/Low Volume Chime/Alarm)
- Dependable Technology - Our sensor uses a state-of-the-art passive-infrared (PIR) to detect any movement within the detection zone. Perfect for long or hidden driveways to allow you just a little extra warning before guests (or intruders) arrive.
- Expandable - If you have more than one driveway or area you would like to monitor, you can expand this system with multiple sensors and receivers
- Power Supply - Both 3 x 1.5V type C batteries and the AC power adapter (not included) can be used for the receiver, but don't use them simultaneously in case the host would be burned
The 1byone driveway alarm provides a solution to alert you the moment someone enters your property. It's not only very convenient but also extremely affordable.
When movement is detected, the Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor sends a wireless signal to the receiver from up to 100m/328ft away. Adjusting the receiver, you can choose to be alerted by a high or low chime or alarm tone, or instead, with just a silent LED flash. What's more, the receiver can pair with up to 50 sensors, effectively securing a large area. We offer many combinations of sensors and receivers, just choose what best fits your needs.
To avoid false alarms:
Don't mount the PIR sensor in direct sunlight (as moving heat sources would trigger the PIR) or in a place affected by wind. When installing outside, it's best to mount it in a shady, protected place with minimal changing temperatures. Also, avoiding mounting on UPVC or metal doorframe surfaces which may reduce the transmission range.

Does the type (exemple type qh-0251) matter when ordering these? i need 4 receivers and want to make sure they will all the able to connect. thanks
I believe the paperwork on mine says it can connect up to 6 or 8 devices using 1 unit. The only downside is it doesn't give a different noise for each one. I've got two receivers so when it goes off I have to look in my front yard and in my backyard to figure out which one is going off.
By Tiffiny on October 10, 2015
Yes it 'probably' does. the newer versions are -0200 series is the is a version prior to 1 Feb
By Ricky P on February 19, 2016
I just got two additional 1byOne sensors. Factory manual in the boxes says 5 sensors can connect with 1 receiver. Think it best to believe factory.

How long do the AAA batteries last in the transmitters?
They have been in since I bought it in April and they are still going. I bought the electric adapter for the receiver.
By Chas on August 10, 2015
Says on the instructions depending on the batteries they could last 12 months, if you were using 1150mAh batteries based on 10 sounds per day, with 80% battery capacity available.

Can the transmitters and receiver be in different rooms?
Yes, up to 300ft. I have mine going 50ft and thru several walls.
By Kevin F. on April 6, 2015
Yes they can... in fact the transmitters can be outside with the receiver inside. We have two transmitters and two receivers. Both transmitters are outside (one on our back porch and one on the other side of our house). The two receivers are located inside the house (one downstairs in our bedroom and one upstairs in… see more

I'm thinking of using this to dissuade home intruders. Does it have a real alarm (not a chime) and does it turn itself off? Is it loud enough?
It is a motion detector, with two sensors that you can put outside, and an inside alarm unit. It is not an "ALARM" as in a siren, but more of an Alert Tone (like walking into Radio Shack). There are I believe 2 types of loud alarm alerts and one silent with lights - and there is no volume control. The benefit… see more

This is more of a chime then an alarm. I'm not sure but there may be options for the sound. This is really more for letting you know someone's coming into the area verses an alarm.
By Mel on June 2, 2016
There is a botton on the side which you can choose from chime, low and alarm. The sound goes off itself after sereval second, and the ring tone is about 100dB. Thanks for your contact and wish you a good day!

This does have a real alarm, not real loud but will make an intruder think, not sure if it turns off by itself but will work.
By huggy on June 16, 2016
this partucular alarm sounds off indoors so it woulud not be heard outside. This is more to alert homeowner of of people crosskng entry ways. But there is one on Anazon that has an outside alarm that would scare off perps. I almost mistakenly got that one. :) good luck.

When turned up it is pretty loud and you can choose bell or chime and it goes off for about 5 seconds unless it is still sensing the motion.

Do the devices (sender/receiver) have to remain on at all times to stay paired? Can I just turn on the units as needed and not have pair them every t
I'll leave the master off all the time except when I need it and the sending units seem to work and hook up or pair up each time
By William MacMonegle on February 22, 2016
I leave mine on, but I would say yes, they will stay paired.
By CPhilips on February 22, 2016
No, you needn't to pair the sender/receiver when you turn on the units again.

at what frequency and mode are the sensors transmitting? wondering if signal will go through 200 feet of woods
Can not answer the frequency but wireless and have had similar that worked on a road with some trees by no hill in the way. I have mine indoors and works thru walls and insulation. See Amazon now has brand with multiple tones setting which might be nicer if using inside for this one is loud but works well.
By Firefly on March 14, 2018
The frequency of the sensor is 433.92 MHz. And the recommended installation height is 1.0 m to 1.5 m, you can adjust the height or the angle or tilt it down some to make sure its PIR facing the entire monitoring area.

I want to use them for security and monitor coyote problems. Can I just tape cover the sensor and color paint to camouflage the white plastic?
I bought an Olymbros Motion Detector previously. It is a camouflage surface color and good for outdoor (ranch/forest/yard/farm) monitor. I recommend that.
By Vicky Hills on February 13, 2018
I masked off the lens and painted mine a brown to match the area. I now only get about 25 feet of range between the transmitters and reciever. Used regular outdoor house paint. It must be some super rf blocking paint.
By Buck on February 9, 2018
I think you will need to leave the since the area clear but you can camouflage the rest of it for I use duct tape to cover my white area and camouflaged it by my mailbox.
By huggy on December 11, 2016
If what you really mean is can you use opaque masking tape to cover and conceal the small LED activation indicator that is on the front below the wide sensor window then yes you can as doing so will not have any effect on the operation of the transmitter -- and painting the white plastic case will also have no effect o… see more

If power is lost them te power comes back on will the motion detectors automatically connect?
Yes
By Cliff B on June 19, 2016
Yes. To avoid power outage keep batteries current in the transmitter
By Amazon Customer on June 19, 2016
I use batteries in both the transmitter and in the receivers, so an electrical outage does not affect their functioning at all. For devices like these, I do not use electrical transformers even when available...it gives me peace of mind. You can press the auto-learning code button and hold for 5 seconds, you can delete all the memories in the receiver.
After that, you can pair your sensor with your receiver again.
